Jethro Tull bassist Glenn Cornick has died at the age of 67 as he was suffering from congestive heart failure, it has been revealed.

The Brit bass player's son, Drew Cornick, said that the musician had been receiving hospice care before he died and his father was brilliant and argumentative until the day he died, the BBC reported.

Jethro Tull frontman Ian Anderson also paid his condolences to Cornick saying that Cornick was a man of great bonhomie and he was always ready to befriend anyone especially the fellow musicians.

Anderson added that the late musician was always cheerful, he brought a lively bravado both as a personality and a musician to the early stage performances.

Cornick, who leaves behind his wife Brigitte Martinez-Cornick, his sons Drew and Alex Cornick, and his daughter Molly Cornick, died at his home in Hilo, Hawaii.
