An excerpt from Joan Kramer and David Heeley's book 'In the Company of Legends' revealed that President John F. Kennedy made the iconic star Judy Garland sing 'Over the Rainbow' every time she called.
However, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis stated that the story wasn't true and nothing of that sorts ever happened between Kennedy and the 'Wizard of Oz' star, New York Post reported.
But the filmmakers then reached to Dave Powers, one of JFK's closest aides during his presidency and he confirmed the story was true and Garland would sing the last eight bars of the song into the phone.
In fact, Kennedy would hold the phone out so that he could hear her sing, too, he further added.
