Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Monday met the family members of those killed in the blast at Jhabua and said that it would his mission now to improve their lives.
"I will go to all the 17 villages now. We cannot bring back the deceased. But I am trying to bring their lives back on track. My mission is to improve the lives of the families," Chouhan told the media here.
"The culprit will be brought to book and he will be punished. A reward of Rs. one lakh has been announced. A special investigation team has been formed and different teams of the police are on the lookout for the accused. His photograph will flash on television screens as well," he added.
Chouhan further said the Madhya Pradesh Government will send Rs. five lakh to the bank accounts of the family members of the deceased and make some fixed deposits.
He also said that the employment would be given to the kin of the deceased.
Meanwhile, the state Congress committee has demanded a CBI probe into the blast, which claimed 90 lives and left over 100 others injured.
