Police have recovered and defused four improvised explosive devices (IEDs) hidden in a community centre in Jharkhand's Lohardaga.
Superintendent of Police, Manoj Ratan, said police recovered the explosives on the basis of intelligence inputs.
"We recovered four IEDs, each weighing six kilograms. We have destroyed all the four IED by defusing them," said Ratan.
He said Maoists had planted the explosives to cause large scale damage.
"I think if the explosives had exploded it would have caused severe damage to the forces or the common people. Maoists have planted high explosives materials here," added Ratan.
