Jitendra Singh to inaugurate 'best practices in citizen centric governance' workshop

The Union Minister of State for Northeast & MoS PMO Dr. Jitendra Singh will inaugurate a two-day National Workshop on Best Practices in Citizen Centric Governance here on Friday.

The objective of the workshop is realising the Vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Good Governance through 'Minimum Government - Maximum Governance'.

The Workshop being organised by the Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances, will showcase the Individual, Team and Organisational efforts of the 'Team India' through presentations from different States of the country on 'Innovative Good Governance Initiatives that have been conferred the Prime Minister's Award for Excellence in Public Administration and National Awards on e-Governance.

 

These include initiatives in Citizen Centric Administration, Women Empowerment, Efficient Resource Utilization, Capacity Building as well as use of e-Governance Tools in Citizen Centric Service Delivery.

Theme-based discussion will be held to cover a wide range of Public Service Delivery Systems in the goal to empower the last mile and the common man.

These Sessions of the presentations will be followed by Panel Discussions. More than 300 delegates including senior officials of the Central and State governments besides, representatives from various institutions are participating in the event from all over the country.
