As the last rites of Naik Tupare Rajendra Narayan, who lost his life in the ceasefire violation, are still underway, Pakistani Rangers on Tuesday again resorted to heavy shelling and gunning at Jammu and Kashmir's Nowshera Sector.

No casualty or injuries have been reported so far even as the security forces are aptly matching to their counterparts' firing.

The last rites of slain soldier Naik Rajendra Narayan Tupare of the Maratha Light infantry were performed at Majle-Karve village in Maharashtra's Kolhapur district today.

Tupare was killed in unprovoked firing on Indian Army posts by the Pakistan Rangers along the LoC in the Poonch Sector on Sunday.

Another soldier Gurusevek Singh from Punjab's Taran Taran district also lost his life in the attack.

The village is observing a spontaneous shutdown for the next two days as mark of respect for the dead soldier as also to register their protest against Pakistan for repeatedly violating cease-fire norms established in November 2003.
