JK Rowling has sent a handwritten note to the teen massacre survivor who quoted a Harry Potter line at the memorial just days after the gunman shot her entire family.

Cassidy Stay quoted Hogwarts' headmaster Dumbledore, "Happiness could be found even in the darkest times if one only remembers to turn on the light." at the servive, the Sky News reported.

The 15-year-old further told mourners that she knows that her mom, dad, Bryan, Emily, Becca, and Zach are in a much better place and that she'll be able to see them again one day so stay strong.

A Facebook campaign has now led to Rowling sending the teenager a handwritten note in purple ink, a wand, an acceptance letter to Hogwarts, a list of school supplies and a signed book.

Sources confirmed that Rowling was in touch with Stay, however, the contents of the letter remained private.

Ronald Lee Haskell, the brother-in-law of the teenager's mother, has been charged with capital murder over the killings and could face the death penalty if convicted.
