Family of Joan Rivers has reason to sue her throat surgery clinic for up to 100 million pounds, as the operation was most likely botched up.
A source claimed that the 81-year-old late comedienne was killed by a failed operation worth tens of millions of dollars, which could prove to be one of the major medical negligence claims in history, the Daily Star reported.
The insider added that the biopsy on the vocal cords, which had caused Rivers to go into cardiac arrest after which she was put into medically-induced coma before her death on September 4, should have been done only in a hospital setting.
Meanwhile, health officials in New York have launched a review of the clinic where the surgery had taken place.
