Joe Jackson, 89, father of late King of Pop Michael Jackson, has been hospitalised with stage four pancreatic cancer.

The patriarch of the Jackson family has been struck by the terminal illness and has been ailing for months, reported Variety.

Family members, including his wife Katherine, are said to have visited him in the hospital this week.

Jackson, 89, has suffered from a variety of ailments in recent years, including dementia, strokes, and at least one heart attack. He was injured in a car accident a year ago.

Father of 11 children, Jackson drove his performing family hard and at times subjected them to physical and mental abuse.
