John Kerry to arrive in New Delhi in few hours: MEA spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin

Ministry of External Affairs Syed Akbaruddin said here on Wednesday that United Sates (U.S.) Secretary of State John Kerry is scheduled to arrive in New Delhi in a couple of hours for the first high level interaction between India and U.S. at the political level since the new government has taken charge.

"Kerry will be meeting External Affairs Minister (EAM) Sushma Swaraj where they will be presiding over a strategic dialogue tomorrow at 3 p.m. and then a delegation level discussion, after both will have a press interaction followed by a working dinner," said Akbaruddin.

"Issues like security, energy, trade and investment, science and technology, Human Resource development and regional and international issues to be discussed in the meeting," he added.

 

This will be Kerry's first meeting with the new government and he will also meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Finance and Defence Minister Arun Jaitey and the National Security Advisor.
