John Legend's Get Lifted Film Co. and Furst Films has joined hands with a Reliance ADA subsidiary, IM Global to produce a musical romantic drama starring Miguel.
The story of the untitled musical drama penned by Taylor Cohen will be told mostly with music and will tell a tale of a one-hit wonder rediscovering his passion for music, while coaching an aspiring singer for a talent show, Deadline.com reported.
The 'All of Me' singer's longtime collaborator and video and commercials director Nabil Elderkin will make his feature directorial debut with this project, which is expected to start production in Philadelphia late 2015.
This project comes after IM Global last year launched a music-driven film division to develop and produce film and television content.
