A never-seen-before self portrait of The Beatles legend John Lennon is set to be sold at a London auction.

The picture, which is made up of a few wavy lines drawn in a childlike manner, was created for his wife Yoko Ono's conceptual art book Grapefruit, the Daily Express reported.

The 'Imagine' hitmaker also drew a picture of his partner and wrote along side an introduction that said "Hi my name is John Lennon. I'd like you to meet Yoko Ono".

The drawings and the 13 word introduction to the book is expected to rake in 6,000 pounds at Bloomsbury auctions.
