Johnny Depp has joined list of stars praising the late actor Christopher Lee, saying he was "hynoptic," "commanding," "noble," "gallant" and "wise."
The 52-year-old actor, who starred with Lee in five of director Tim Burton's films, gave a heartfelt tribute to the "wonderful" 'Lord of the Rings' star, who died at the age of 93 recently, the Guardian reported.
The 'Pirates of the Caribbean' star wrote in a statement Lee was a profoundly kind, generous, warm and fascinating man, adding that he was "the consummate gentleman and an inspiration in both life and art."
He added "in the time we spent together, I had the honor and good fortune of being welcomed into his illustrious proximity. His friendship is one that I will always hold close and dear to my heart."
Lee and Depp became friends after working together on Burton's film 'Sleepy Hollow' and then they went on to appear in four further Burton films: 'Corpse Bride,' 'Alice in Wonderland,' 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' and 'Dark Shadows.
