First Ashes Test destroyer Mitchell Johnson has denied that his short-pitched bowling to the England tail should be classified as dangerous bowling despite admitting that Australia had a plan to go really hard at the tailenders.

According to Fox Sports, Johnson pointed out that he was just playing the game within the rules.

He added that bowlers get two short balls an over, over the shoulder and he definitely used them, and that he used the wicket to its potential because a fast, bouncy Gabba wicket is a perfect time to use it.

Johnson further said that he did not think it was dangerous at all, adding that he stayed inside the rules.
