Jolean Lescott looks set to leave Man City after PL title glory

Manchester City centre-back Joleon Lescott is reportedly looking set to leave the Premier League title winner's after five years at the club.

The defender, who won a second championship with City following Sunday's 2-0 win agains, West Ham United although he has found his playing time limited this season, took to Twitter to post that it is a very emotional time for him after the game.

According to the BBC, Lescott, whose contract expires in the summer, tweeted that he thanks everyone connected to the club, adding that it has been a fantastic period of his career and life.

The England international, who was signed by former City manager Mark Huges from Everton in a reported 22 million-pound deal, has won the FA Cup, League Cup and two Premier League titles with the club.

 

However, Lescott has played only 10 league games this season and has also been omitted from Roy Hodgson's England squad for the World Cup, the report added.
