England's Test recall Jonathan Trott has claimed that he is ready to prove himself once more on the international front after he reached breaking point during the last Ashes and wasn't a part of the national's team's plans until now.
Trott, who is set to play in his 50th Test on Monday as an opener in England's first Test against the West Indies, admitted that he had unrealistic expectations of himself in the build-up to Brisbane.
Now, the batsman has got a more balanced view of his career and the game, and thanks to work done with renowned sports psychiatrist Dr Steve Peters, he insists that he deserves this chance to prove his worth again, The Mirror reported.
Trott claimed that it was a culmination of a lot of cricket and having an imbalanced perspective of what he needed to do to succeed, adding that he set himself unrealistic expectations and it wasn't so much Brisbane it was more the lead-up to it.
Trott claimed that he feels really confident that he can cope and do really well.
