Swansea City player Jonjo Shelvey has reportedly apologised to the club's fans for his two 'loose passes', which helped his former side Liverpool to a 2-2 draw at the Liberty Stadium.
Although Shelvey got his debut appearance against his former club off to a flying start as he scored inside two minutes, his two mistakes helped Liverpool take the lead before half-time.
However, Metro.co.uk reports that Shelvey then provided the assist for teammate Michu's second-half equaliser, as the sides shared the spoils.
Stating that he wants to say sorry to the Sawnsea fans for his mistakes, Shelvey said that he is disappointed that his mistakes gifted a draw to Liverpool, adding that Swansea deserved better than that.
According to Shelvey, he did not want to celebrate the goal as he has a respect for the fans of his former side, adding that he will be struggling to sleep as the two mistakes will come back to haunt him.
However, Shelvey stated that he is relived to have provided the assist for Michu.
