Jordanian parliament member Mazen Dalaeen has said that his son joined the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) and carried out a suicide attack in Iraq, three months after dropping out of medical school.
According to ABC News, he said that he learned about his son from ISIS-linked media.
The case highlights the continued grassroots appeal of ISIS in the area, including Jordan.
Dalaeen said that his son had everything but he was controlled by "terrible thoughts".
Dalaeen said he learned of the death of his son Mohammed Dalaeen last week from ISIS-linked media and a TV station in Iraq's Anbar province.
