In a major academic achievement, Jorhat's Assam Agricultural University was recently selected by the European Commission for the prestigious Eramus Mundus collaborative program on the topic 'Plant Virology in the New Era
The program which offers 100 scholarships to selected people aims to give training in scientific skill development to students and scientists from Indian universities in Europe.
"This is a very big opportunity for us and being the only one from the Northeast is a really proud for us. We never thought that we will be the one among so many university of India, so this is a great opportunity for all of us," Kamla Shree Devi, PhD student, AAU, Jorhat.
