Stating that the Pakistani courts were conducting daily hearings in the 26/11 trial, Pakistan National Assembly member Awais Leghari on Friday stated that the judicial process cannot be pushed.

"Our courts are doing weekly hearings, the judicial process can't be pushed," said Leghari.

On the contentious issue on talks between the two countries, Leghari said the ball was placed in India's court.

"We are all for talks for peace, India suspended talks and now the ball is in their court," he added.

Expressing hope that talks between the two countries would resume, Pakistani senator Rana M Afzal Khan said that the democratic governments have to talk.

"Hopes should be ambitious, if you have limited hopes, you cannot achieve anything. We do not see that democratic governments cannot talk, they have to talk. They can only postpone it but in postponing things are there any advantages? I think we are very optimistic," said Khan.

The Pakistan delegation came to India to hold a dialogue with their Indian counterparts in the Parliament and to assess whether peace talks between New Delhi and Islamabad can resume.

Their visit made news for the wrong reasons over the alleged lack of courtesy shown to them by Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan.

However, former diplomat-turned-politician Mani Shankar Aiyar said it was his mistake that the visiting delegation was unable to meet the Lok Sabha Speaker, adding that a series of circumstances had forced the error.
