Juventus played out a second-leg goalless draw on Wednesday night to claim an aggregate 1-0 win over Monaco and reach Champions League semifinal for the first time since 2003.
Holding a 1-0 first-leg advantage, the Serie A leaders successfully fended off counter strikes from Monaco, who dominated possession for the majority.
Reflecting on his team's performance, defender Patrice Evra said that it was an important game for them, adding that some players were under tremendous pressure as it had been 12 years, and were considered as the favourites, the BBC reported.
With the win, Juventus joined La Liga heavyweights Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Germany's Bayern Munich in the final four draw, which will be made on Friday.
