Afghanistan's Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah has hailed Iran's efforts to host Afghan refugees over the past three decades.
He made this statement during a meeting attended by several foreign ambassadors, UN and EU representatives residing in Kabul.
Abdullah urged foreign countries to observe security status before deciding to repatriate Afghan refugees, reports the IRNA news agency.
The deteriorating security situation and increasing trend of terror attacks in Afghanistan have impelled the Afghans to immigrate to other countries.
At present, more than seven million Afghan refugees are residing in foreign countries, of which six million are residing in Iran and Pakistan.
