Sufi singer Kailash Kher on Monday wielded the broom and participated in the cleanliness drive 'Swacch Bharat Abhiyan' which was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 2.
Kailash Kher is the latest celebrity to join the cleanliness mission, after a host of celebrities and Ministers were spotted wielding the broom.
The 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' was launched nationwide to focus on sanitation, hygiene and waste management.
It encourages people to sweep, remove garbage, debris and unauthorized encroachments from roads, markets and residential places.
The 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' aims at making India a clean country by 2019, the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
