Railways Minister Suresh Prabhu on Saturday condoled the loss of lives following the derailment of a toy train near Kalka.
Indian Railways PRO Anil Saxena said that the injured are being treated at a hospital in Kalka.
"This is very tragic and unfortunate. On Kalka-Shimla toy train route, one chartered toy train hired by a group of tourists got derailed between Kalka and Taksal. It had four coaches out of which two coaches got derailed just three kms ahead of Kalka. The incident took place at 12:58 pm," Saxena told ANI here.
"Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu has expressed profound grief over the loss of innocent lives," he added.
According to reports, two foreign nationals were killed and seven others were injured when two bogeys of a toy train went off the track at Parwanoo on Kalka-Shimla Unesco Heritage Track.
