Kalraj Mishra applauds work of NSIC rapid incubation centre

Union Minister for MSMEs, Kalraj Mishra, has applauded the efforts of the National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC), especially its rapid incubation programme, to create opportunities for self employment.

Making his comment after a visit to the NSIC's Rapid Incubation Centre in Okhla, Mishra praised the NSIC for its active role in skill development and entrepreneurship training for unemployed and startup entrepreneurs.

According to an official statement, he also gave away certificates for those trainees who completed the three month long incubation programme successfully.

A project film on rapid incubation programme was also released by the minister.

Mishra described the rapid incubation programme of the NSIC is a step in the right direction for transforming unemployment to self employment.

 

He said incubation provides necessary facilities for prospective entrepreneurs and startup companies to learn product manufacturing, its processes coupled with technology development, business development, financing arrangements etc., all under one roof.

The minister added that the rapid incubation programme has a huge potential for job creation and it can play a substantive role in fixing regional imbalances.

He further said that in the next five years, the MSME sector will create ample opportunities and that MSMEs can help India in its path to become a developed state.

The NSIC rapid incubation model has been well-received by countries such as Ethiopia, Burundi, Rwanda, Gambia, Zimbabwe, Egypt and South Africa etc.
