The Karnataka Police on Wednesday said that three teams have been formed to nab the accused who allegedly shot dead a 12th standard girl inside a hostel of a residential school in Bengaluru.
"The accused is absconding. We have formed three teams of which already two teams are out of station in search of the accused. We are trying to search for him," Deputy Commissioner of Police (south east) Dr. Rohini Katoch Sepat said.
"Yesterday, in one residential school which had hostel facilities and in the ladies hostel, one school attender had gone and shot at two girls using a country-made firearm, and out of which, one girl has succumbed to her injuries late at night. One girl is out of danger," she added.
The victim and the suspect both belong to Karnataka's Tumakuru district, say reports.
