ANI New Delhi (India)

Army Chief General Bipin Rawat on Wednesday said that Kartarpur corridor issue should be seen in isolation and should not be linked with anything else.

"All people say that give peace a chance for something to happen, but we must see what our government has said today that this is to be seen in isolation. The opening of Kartarpur corridor should be seen in isolation and not linked with anything else," said General Rawat.

His statement comes in the backdrop of Indian delegation visiting the groundbreaking ceremony of Kartarpur corridor in Pakistan in which pro-Khalistan leader was allegedly seen standing with Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan and also shaking hands with Pakistan Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa.

"It is a one-sided decision, that has nothing to do with anything else," he said.

On neutralising terrorist in Jammu and Kashmir, General Rawat said that the Army has its 'list' and is eliminating terrorist one by one according to it.

"Our soldiers are doing their work and are going according to the list of 12 that we have. Slowly we have to eliminate the leaders and nab others. We are successfully doing it," said Rawat.

Lashkar-e-Taiba commander Naveed Jatt, the prime accused in the killing of senior journalist Shujhaat Bukhari, and one other militant were killed in a gun battle with security forces at Budgam in Kashmir on Wednesday.
