The Kannada actress, who has accused Union Railway Minister D V Sadananda Gowda's son Karthik of cheating, on Thursday said that he wanted to have a physical relationship with her.

"I met Karthik Gowda on May 8 through a mutual friend. My family had been pressurizing me to get married and was looking for a groom. He said even his parents were hunting for a suitable match for him. We exchanged numbers and kept meeting. Marriage was discussed and he wanted to learn about each other before we got married. He said he wanted to know me better before he talked to his parents about me and asked for three months' time," she told a press conference here.

"He also took me to parties. He also met me alone and wanted to have a physical relationship but I did not want that before the marriage," she added.

Thanking the media for supporting her, she said that they had married secretly.

"He called me to his Mangalore house and gave me a 'mangalsutra' and proclaimed that we were married. From then, he started calling me his wife and introduced me to all his friends as such," she said.

Earlier in the day, her lawyer informed media organizations that he was in possession of a CD, which contained conversations between Karthik and the actress.

Elaborating on that, the actress said, "The CD that I have given to the lawyer contains conversations where he has called me as his wife and we have discussed our future children."

The actress claims that she married Karthik on June 5 after meeting him on May 8, but since then he has been engaged to another woman.

The Railway Minister has rejected the allegation against his son and alleged a conspiracy.

"Shocked to see this report, it hurt me, my personal and public life is an open book," said Gowda.

He also said that it seemed suspicious as the woman had filed the complaint hours after his son Karthik's engagement.

"Suddenly after engagement, if a girl claims such things, it leads to suspicion," he added.
