Afghan president Hamid Karzai has assured that Afghanistan will never face Iraq-like situation.
When asked by BBC's Lyse Doucet in Kabul whether what was happening in Iraq could happen in Afghanistan, the president dismissed the possibility.
Karzai said that al-Qaeda had no presence in Afghanistan and that he was in regular dialogue with the Taliban, adding that there was even an exchange of letters, meetings, and desire for peace.
Meanwhile, NATO will pull out all its troops from Afghanistan at the end of 2014.
