Responding to a question at weekly Prime Minister's Questions session here yesterday, Theresa May has made it categorically clear that the U.K.'s stand on Kashmir remains unchanged as it is a bilateral issue between India and Pakistan to address.
Her statement indicates that Kashmir is unlikely to be on the agenda during her bilateral talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi when she visits India early next month - her first overseas bilateral visit outside Europe.
The issue was raised in the House of Commons by Yasmin Qureshi, Pakistan-born Labour MP, who sought to know whether the Kashmir issue would be part Prime Minister May's discussions during her visit to India.
During her visit to India, Prime Minister May will be accompanied by a business delegation comprising small and medium enterprises from across the U.K.
