People in Jammu and Kashmir are all set to witness the harshest winters referred to as Chilai Kalan that starts from today.
During this period in Kashmir valley, not only the night but the day temperature will also dip below mercury, freezing most of the water bodies including the famous Dal Lake.
The valley receives ample snowfall during this period while as the normal life gets affected and people mostly prefer to stay indoors.
