Kashmiris observe annual festival of sufi saint Lal Bab Sahib

People in Kashmir are observing the annual festival of sufi saint Lal Bab Sahib with full spirit aimed to maintain the importance of brotherhood, peace and prosperity in Valley.

Kashmir Valley, which is also known as the Valley of sufis and saints, observes a number of annual festivals of different sufis and Lal Bab sahib is one of them.

The shrine of Lal Bab Sahib is situated at Zakoora, in the outskirts of Srinagar city and people from different parts of the Valley visit the annual festival to pay their tributes to the great saint.

Lal Bab Sahib spent his whole life with simplicity and always taught people about brotherhood and love without any differences of cast and creed.

 

The shrine of Lal Bab Sahib is also famous for traditional dance known as "dhambhali", which artists from different parts of the Valley performed in front of people.
