One policeman has been killed and nine people, including seven CRPF personnel, one policeman and one civilian, have been injured in an attack on a police station in Kathua.
Unidentified men opened fire at the Rajbagh police station in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir earlier this morning.
The Security Forces retaliated to the attack and an encounter is presently going on between them.
Home Minister Rajnath Singh has instructed the Jammu and Kashmir Home Secretary to actively monitor the situation.
The Ministry of Home Affairs is also in touch with the agencies of Jammu and Kashmir.
Meanwhile, the Jammu-Pathankot national highway has been closed due to the attack.
