Farmers living in the border areas along the International Border (IB) and the Line of Control (LoC) are a worried lot these days, fearing that their cultivable or harvested crops will be extensively damaged should India and Pakistan expand their level of hostilities.

With the paddy and other pulses close to being harvested along the Zero Line, the distraught farmers claim that they are facing problems of this nature for the last two decades.

As the situation remains continues to remain grim in the region, the farmers said bank loans taken for agricultural purposes remain at stake.
