Kazakhstan views India as a key player in global, regional affairs

India, Kazakhstan's Ambassador-designate Bulat Sarsenbayev said, has the world's respect, and is seen as one of the key players in political, economic, global and regional affairs.

In an address to invitees attending the 23rd anniversary of "The Day of the First President of Kazakhstan", Sarsenbayev said, "We see the growth of India, and we have full appreciation for the opportunities the growth of India presents to the world and to our region."

He further stated that the prospects for cooperation between Kazakhstan and India are very bright.

"We have agreed to work very closely and pragmatically to develop connectivity between South Asia and Central Asia. We hope that with the strength and potential of India, we will be absolutely able to develop those connectivity in multiple forms," he said.

 

Ambassador-designate Sarsenbayev said that Kazakhstan and India's mutual efforts would be directed towards boosting bilateral ties for the sake of the prosperity of the peoples' of the two countries, as also for the promotion of peace, security and stability in the region.

The reception, which was held at the Umrao Hotel in New Delhi, was attended by representatives of the Indian Government, prominent public figures, businessmen, journalists and Kazak citizens.

It also included a concert performed by the Kazakh music and dance group "Murager. The musical troupe, which was formed in 2006, performed eleven popular tunes and songs, and is a recipient of many national and international awards.
