K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) was today sworn in as the Chief Minister of Telangana, India's 29th state.
His party Telangana Rashtriya Samiti (TRS) had earlier won the mandate by winning 62 of the 119 seats in the newly formed Telangana Assembly.
The President's rule which is in place in united Andhra Pradesh was partially revoked to facilitate the swearing-in of the new government under the new Chief Minister.
