Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has appointed 21 MLAs as parliamentary secretaries to the ministers of Delhi Government to ensure the smooth functioning of his government.
These newly-appointed parliamentary secretaries will assume charge after being sworn-in by Kejriwal.
They will not get any remuneration or perks from the government - meaning no burden on exchequer.
However, they may use government transport for official purposes and office space in the minister's office would be provided to them to facilitate their work.
Kejriwal has appointed the MLAs Praveen Kumar as Parliamentary Secretary to Education Minister, Sharad Kumar as Parliamentary Secretary to Revenue Minister, Adarsh Shastri as Parliamentary Secretary to Information and Technology Minister, Madan Lal as Parliamentary Secretary to Vigilance Minister, Shiv Charan Goel as Parliamentary Secretary to Finance Minister, Sanjeev Jha as Parliamentary Secretary to Transport Minister, Sarita Singh as Parliamentary Secretary to Employment Minister, Naresh Yadav as Parliamentary Secretary to Labour Minister, Jarnail Singh (Tilaknagar) as Parliamentary Secretary to Minister of Development, Rajesh Gupta as Parliamentary Secretary to Health Minister and Rajesh Rishi as Parliamentary Secretary to Health Minister.
Anil Kumar Bajpai as Parliamentary Secretary to Health Minister, Som Dutt as Parliamentary Secretary to Industries Minister, Avtar Singh Kalka as Parliamentary Secretary to Minister of Gurudwara elections, Vijender Garg Vijay as Parliamentary Secretary to Minister of PWD, Jarnail Singh (Rajauri Garden) as Parliamentary Secretary to Minister of Power, Kailash Gahlot as Parliamentary Secretary to Minister of Law, Alka Lamba as Parliamentary Secretary to Minister of Tourism, Manoj Kumar as Parliamentary Secretary to Minister of Food and Civil Supplies, Nitin Tyagi as Parliamentary Secretary to Minister of Women and Child and Social Welfare and Sukhvir Singh as Parliamentary Secretary to Minister of Languages and Welfare of SC/ST/OBC respectively.
