Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has been placed under "Z" Category security by Ghaziabad Police inspite of his consistent rejection of the same.

Senior Superintendent of Police of Ghaziabad Dharmendra Singh said that Kejriwal would have 30 police personnel deployed round-the-clock during his movement in the district. Kejriwal and his family presently stay in the Girnar Apartment complex in the Kaushambi area of Ghaziabad.

"Despite the Delhi CM's refusal, we have decided to provide him with 24-hour Z category security. Two head constables and eight constables will be deployed outside Mr. Kejriwal's house from tomorrow (Monday). Besides, two personal security officers will also be posted as part of the Delhi CM's security detail," said Singh.

Apart from the security detail, two escort vehicles will follow and guard Kejriwal in Ghaziabad. These vehicles would carry two head constables and six constables armed with sophisticated weapons.

Singh said that he was following the Uttar Pradesh Government's orders issued on Saturday.
