Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday criticized the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Vinod Binny, saying the latter should have raised his concerns in the party meeting.
He questioned Binny saying why he did not voiced in the party meeting with MLA's
"Yesterday we had a meeting of all the MLA's regarding the problems faced by them in their constituencies. There also he did not raise this issue," he said.
Earlier today, Binny had said that the party is deviating from its principles and had threatened to launch a protest
"It is not about being upset... rather it is about the issues, which were decided,"
"There is a difference between the saying and working of the party. I am upset regarding some issues. I joined party because of the issues," Binny had said.
Kejriwal said Binny had earlier approached him asking for a post in the cabinet.
"Afterwards he came to me asking for a ticket to contest in Lok Sabha elections. The party had decided that those who fought in assembly elections will not be given a ticket for Lok Sabha elections," said Kejriwal.
"So, if there is any issue, then we will surely take it up...You won't find a government more sensitive than us. We're open to criticism whether it's from BJP, or anyone else," Kejriwal added.
Earlier, Binny was upset over the party's decision not to include him in the state cabinet. But, he later retracted saying he was willing to serve the party in any capacity.
