The medical director of Jindal Naturecure Institute, Dr. Babina Nandakumar, on Friday said the blood sugar level of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is under control and added that his chronic cough is also 90 percent cured.

"He has improved a lot now, because, today when we got his blood tests done, his fasting blood sugar is around 90-95. The post-prandial is also between 130-140. So, it is perfectly fine that it is within the range. There is remarkable improvement in his cough as well. I can say that 90 percent he is completely having control over the cough," Dr. Nandakumar said.

She also said that Kejriwal is now taking only ten insulin units in the morning and ten units in the evening.

"The medications have also been cut down. With all these things, we are now giving him the normal diet. Because he is here for the next two to three days, so we have brought him to such a diet where he can follow it up at home. So, with that type of diet as well he is responding very well to our treatments. So, once he gets back home and does a bit of follow up what we are advising him regarding his diet, treatments and yoga, I think that can certainly take care of his ailment," she added.

Kejriwal had left for the naturopathy centre in Bengaluru on March 5 to receive treatment for his deteriorating health.

Doctors had urged Kejriwal to undergo naturopathy after his cough worsened and sugar level crossed the 300 mark.
