Urging Prime Minister Narendra Modi to instruct all his ministers and secretaries to abide by the Delhi Government's 'even-odd formula' to check air-pollution level, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said on Monday that it would send a good message to the people of Delhi.
"I am confident that if you make an appeal or pass important directions in this regard, it will have wider impact," Kejriwal urged Prime Minister Modi in a letter to him.
The Delhi Government's rule will apply from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. On even dates, even-number cars will be allowed and odd-numbered cars on odd dates in the city from January 1 in an effort to curb rising pollution here.
Chief Minister Kejriwal had said the government would discontinue the even-odd move after 10 to 15 days if the people faced problems.
