Senior lawyer and AAP member Shanti Bhushan on Tuesday said Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal should continue as the national convenor of the party, and added that Yogendra Yadav and Prashant Bhushan should continue supporting him.
"Arvind Kejriwal should continue as the All India Convener of AAP. Yogendra Yadav and Prashant Bhushan should support him," said Shanti Bhushan.
Earlier, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Yogendra Yadav had dismissed reports of a crisis existing in the party, and added that there was no question of asking for Kejriwal's resignation.
"Arvind is the hero of changing politics in the country. No question of asking for Arvind's resignation as convener," Yadav added.
The AAP, meanwhile, has called a national executive meeting tomorrow to decide on issues including the latest controversy over differences in the party.
AAP leader Sanjay Singh had earlier said that attempts were being made to remove Kejriwal as AAP national convener.
The rift within the AAP came out in the open with Yogendra Yadav and Prashant Bhushan voicing dissent against the manner in which the party is being run by Kejriwal. The two leaders also reportedly offered to opt out of the Political Affairs Committee of the party.
