Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday visited Right to Information (RTI) activist Chetan Sharma after the latter was shot at by unknown assailants in the national capital.
Sharma is currently recuperating at the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital after a bullet grazed his arm.
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) legislator Somnath Bharti, who accompanied Kejriwal to the hospital, said the AAP government has requested the police to nab the culprits at the earliest.
"Chetan has been fighting against corruption for quite some time. Some assailants fired at him yesterday, he got hit on his arm but his dog died. After listening to what Chetan had to say, the Chief Minister has assured him that the government is with him. We have also requested the police to investigate the matter and nab the culprit at the earliest," Bharti said.
