The chief of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party-led 20-party alliance and former prime minister Khaleda Zia will address a rally here this afternoon to protest against the National Broadcast Policy 2014.
The rally will be held at the Suhrawardy Udyan from 3.30 p.m., reports the Daily Star.
The BNP and its chairperson believe that the policy will help the government to gag the media.
This will be Khaleda Zia's first rally in the capital since January 20.
The National Broadcast Policy was approved by the Sheikh Hasina-led Awami League Government on August 4.
