Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) chairperson Khaleda Zia today revealed her party's 'Vision 2030 Plan' aiming to turn the country into a higher middle income nation.
Addressing the BNP's sixth national council, Khaleda briefly described the plan and said that her party would take necessary measures to create a bicameral Parliament with the country's experienced professionals, educationalists and intellectuals in the upper chamber.
The national anthem, party song and council theme song were also played in the inaugural ceremony, reports Daily Star.
Recalling the outstanding contributions of the country's great national leaders Sher-e-Bangla AK Fazlul Huq, Hossain Shaheed Suhrawardi, Maulana Bhashani and Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the BNP chairperson said that they had played a great role in making the country independent.
