Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Friday evaded a question about Canadian Defence Minister Harjit Singh Sajjan's alleged Khalistan link, saying he met him as a representative of Canada and not as an individual.
"When representatives of two countries meet, it is a meeting between countries and not individuals," said Khattar.
Khattar revealed Sajjan had conveyed Canada's desire to invest in Haryana, particularly in the field of civil aviation. He said the latter also expressed an interest in education sector and construction sector, particularly in developing smart cities.
He said follow up meetings will be held soon to facilitate the entry of Canadian companies to Haryana for investment.
"The Canadian investment will also generate employment in Haryana," Khattar said.
