Two Hindu boys, who have been missing from the Ghotki district in the northern part of Pakistan's Sindh Province, are yet to be traced by the police.
The Hindu community has threatened to call a district-wide protest, as it believes police negligence has delayed the process of finding them.
According to the Express Tribune, the police has conducted raids on several villages, but failed to find the boys.
Meanwhile, the Hindu Panchayats of Qadirpur and Ghotki have called for a strike to pressure the police to immediately find the boys and to provide protection to the community.
A group of armed bandits had allegedly stopped the two Hindu boys while they were on their way back home to Qadirpur after attending their school in Ghotki last week, and whisked them away in a car.
Nishal, the son of an insurance company worker and Haresh, the son of a goldsmith, are tenth grade students.
Ghotki Superintendent of Police Abdul Salam Shaikh said police are trying their best to find the boys.
