Finally it's time for actor Kiefer Sutherland to turn into a singer as he has announced his debut album and tour.

The 49-year-old actor has geared up for the release of the "folk-tinged" 'Down in the Hole' album and will also embark on a 26-city tour in the US to support it, reports Channel 24.

Speaking about making the jump from acting to music, Kiefer revealed that he has bared his soul on the 11-track record. He also expressed his satisfaction to transform the journey of his life, good and bad times, into music.

In 2002, Kiefer co-founded the Ironworks record label with singer-songwriter Jude Cole in order to help aspiring musicians to record and release their music.

The '24' actor is of the Jeff Bridges and Johnny Depp league, who spend their spare time touring with music.
