West Indies opening batsman Kieran Powell, who played his last international game in June 2014, has been recalled in the 15-member ODI squad for three-match series against England beginning March 3 at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium.

The 26-year-old's inclusion comes in the wake of his prolific run in West Indies' domestic List A competition, the Regional Super50. He was the highest run-scorer in the tournament, smashing three centuries and two fifties.

In case Powell gets the nod to take the field in Antigua, he will play his first match in the 50-over format after three years, having last played against England.

The Caribbean batsman made only one more international appearance which was a Test match against New Zealand in June that year before being dropped from the squad.

Left-arm spinner Sulieman Benn, wicketkeeper-batsman Johnson Charles and off-spinner Sunil Narine, who were all part of the West Indies squad ODI squad for the tri-series against Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe, have all been left out for the upcoming series.

Meanwhile, Alzarri Joseph, who was first picked and later withdrawn from the tri-series, has also been named in the ODI squad, ESPNcricinfo reported.

All-rounder Marlon Samuels, who was cleared to bowl in international cricket by the ICC last week, could not found a place in the squad against that Eoin Morgan-led side.

The West Indies ODI squad is as follows:

Jason Holder (captain), Devendra Bishoo, Carlos Brathwaite, Kraigg Brathwaite, Jonathan Carter, Miguel Cummins, Shane Dowrich, Shannon Gabriel, Shai Hope, Alzarri Joseph, Evin Lewis,Jason Mohammed, Ashley Nurse, Kieran Powell, Rovman Powell.
