Controversial American basketball legend Dennis Rodman has branded Russian president Vladimir Putin as 'actually cool' after he returned from a recent trip to Russia filled with praise for another leader with disreputable roots. e former NBA great, who's frequently referred to North Korean despot Kim Jong-un as a personal friend, said that Putin is actually cool, adding that he is not going to say that he is not talking about politics.

Rodman claimed that he is not about politics, adding that this was his first time meeting Putin. He said that the Russian president just walked in, shook his hand and left with all his people, claiming that he just stayed there and had a good time at Putin's restaurant, Washington Times reported.

Rodman rocked headlines in January, after returning from a trip to North Korea where he took part in an exhibition basketball game with other NBA greats to celebrate Jong-un's birthday. He had said after his trip that he loves his friend, Jong-un.
